We can screen indicators of abnormal fish growth and development at different levels. Growth patterns can be quickly quantified by applying linear measurements on digital images, from the smallest larval fish up to juvenile size.
More detailed shape quantification can be performed to pinpoint regional differences in growth and development depending on different rearing conditions. This can also be performed on larval up to juvenile fish, where both specimens and digital images of specimens (images of sufficient quality necessary) can be used to perform the analyses.
We deliver reports that describe both qualitatively and quantitatively shape-related indicators of phenotypic quality. Depending on the species, overall size and fixation conditions, the reference phenotype may need to be quantified in each analysis.
