Histological sectioning

Skeletal pathologies, as well as other pathologies (such as skin lesions, etc.) can be analysed using histological sectioning and staining. Our histological infrastructure allows sectioning from biopsies to complete fish, with sections from 1 µm to 10 µm. Different embedding media can be used (plastic, paraffin) and different staining protocols can be applied, depending on the question.

Histological parameters

The following histological parameters can be quantified:

• Bone thickness
• Bone forming cell counts
• Collagen orientation
