Frank Maes

Prof. Dr. Frank Maes is head of the Department European, Public and International Law and director of the Maritime Institute. His main field of research is international environmental law, protection of ocean and seas, law of the sea, freshwater law and marine spatial planning. Prof. Dr. Maes is also coordinator of the MSc in Maritime Science at Ghent University.
