Wim Van den Broeck
Prof. Dr. Wim Van den Broeck has a longstanding expertise in morphology of aquatic species and in monitoring the effects of pre- and probiotics on the development of their gastro-intestinal tract. He uses state-of-the-art visualization techniques such as transmission and scanning electron microscopy, light and / or fluorescence microscopy, immunohistochemistry, immunogold labeling, etc. to perform quantitative analyses (e.g. morphological description) and qualitative analyses (e.g. stereology, computer assisted image analyses).
